Bio

Larisa Ilieva

1996 graduates the Faculty of Arts in Veliko Turnovo University, Bulgaria.

First works in classical realist style, landscapes, still lives and portraits using pastel technique. Takes part in art shows in Bulgaria and France.

Since 2009 after several resides in Paris changes style towards more abstract using acrylics, collage and inks.

Larisa begins her work like a nonsense game of chaos patterns that appear by chance on the surface of the canvas. Than step by step, day by day, new patterns appear over, like the events of her life appear over the past. Some have real forms, some are fluid and unstable. Colors are in vivid contrast or in deep flu. Things develop like in life, clear and strong in front or disappearing in the far distance of memory. Larisa Ilieva successfully exhibited her new art tendency in Luxembourg, France, Bulgaria and USA.
